PAISAGEM COM QUEDA DE ÍCARO

Segundo Brueghel

quando Ícaro caiu

era primavera

um lavrador arava

sua plantação

e toda a pompa

da estação

despertava e tilintava

bem perto

a beira-mar

tomava conta

de si

suando no sol

que derretia

a cera das asas

um detalhe banal

perto da costa

um esguicho

passou despercebido

este era Ícaro

se afogando

when Icarus fell
it was spring

a farmer was ploughing
his field
the whole pageantry

of the year was
awake tingling
near

the edge of the sea
concerned
with itself

sweating in the sun
that melted
the wings' wax

unsignificantly
off the coast
there was

a splash quite unnoticed
this was
Icarus drowning
